DEFENDING league champions Power Dynamos have suffered early season humiliation after giving up a lead to lose 3-1 to Forest Rangers in the final of the Carling Black Label Charity Shield.
Power, who won the league last season, were hoping to add to their trophy cabinet another trophy in a space of three months but Forest had other ideas.
Things were going to plan for Power who took the lead in the 14th minute via their hitman Andy Boyeli at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
10 minutes later, Forest leveled the score through Moyela Libamba to set the pace for a great comeback.
In the 40th minute, Gerald Simusokwe completed the comeback when he scored a second for Forest to take the match at 2-1.
Any chance of a Power comeback were extinguished at the stroke of half time when keeper Lawrence Mulenga failed to deal with a Moyela Libamba shot and Lazarous Chishimba was on hand to finish off the rebound.
